Leading environmental organizations, from the Wildlife Conservation Society to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), work tirelessly to protect the world's endangered animals from extinction. Animals such as African elephants, black panthers and dolphins, that have been hunted, poached or fallen prey to mankind's destructive interaction with their natural habitats.
