A gambling inspector crackdown has seen four operators charged with offering illegal incentives.
The Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulation has alleged the four have offered inducements to open betting accounts.
Free bets and a refund on losing wagers were allegedly among the unlawful offers made. Operators can be fined up to $2443 for each offence.
The commission alleged IASbet offered up to $1000 in free bets.
Sportsbet was alleged to have offered free bets of up to $200. Betezy, through roobet and bombersbet, allegedly offered a free bet of $200 and up to $2500 to existing punters who referred a friend.
Betfair is alleged to have offered refunds of between $50 and $100 for unsuccessful bets.
